Reoperation of the nose after injury
Pitanje
Question asked: - 15. 10. 2024
Ten years ago I had a nose operation, but after an injury a month ago, the nose changed shape – a hump and cartilage asymmetry appeared. It's hard for me mentally to accept the changes, so I'm wondering if it's possible to have my nose operated again, given that I'm two months pregnant?

Dear,
I understand your concern and problems related to the changes in the nose after the injury. Given that you have had plastic surgery on the nose and subsequent correction, it is possible that the structure of the nose will need to be exposed in order to achieve the desired result. However, it is important to perform the surgery only when the injuries are completely healed and when the tissue and cartilage structure has been carefully assessed.
As far as pregnancy is concerned, nose surgery in the second month of pregnancy is not even recommended, as the body undergoes many physiological changes during that period, and anesthesia can easily represent an additional risk for the fetus. I recommend that you wait for the pregnancy to pass, then we can focus on the surgery after the birth.
